In total Flat Susan will visit and stay with 36 people before she returns home. Yes, thirty six! That's a lot of travelling for such a tiny person. If you are new to this blog perhaps you should scroll to the very first post so you know more about who she is and what is happening with her. You are welcome to take the button on the right to display on your own blog and we hope you will visit the blogs of the people she has been staying with and leave a kind comment after your reading.

Not a Party Pooper but all Pooped Out!

Flat Susan is all partied out... (hectic day at Annie's)

Flat Susan will be setting off very soon on another journey, this time to Krisha in USA.  It will be a long flight but to be honest I think she is shattered from all the Birthday celebrations we have had over the last week and will be glad of the rest.  I took a few pics of some of the things she got up to to share with you....

She enjoyed all the new birthday presents that the twins had.

"I can see a long way from up here.  This castle made me feel like a princess."

"Wahooooooo!  I loved riding this gorgeous little pony"

" This was pretty scary!  I just took hold of the end and up it flew!  It was just as well it had a good heavy weight on the bottom or I could have been in USA before I'd planned."

" When Annie lifted me safely down off that balloon I took a nice warm bath in the new dolls house and....

....went for a lie down to recover!"

After all the excitement I think she has really enjoyed her stay here in Shropshire.  I will be tucking her up in her suitcase soon with all she travels with and have made this tag to go with her as a gift for LaCretia.

Safe journey Flat Susan.  I've loved having you.

Hugs,
Annie x

Enjoying the Sewing Lessons

I've got a visitor....

For those following Flat Susan's adventures you will know that she has a week with my 'much older' sister  just over the border into Wales in Chrchstoke.  She says she had a lovely time but the daleks were rather scary.  She enjoyed her time travel in the tardis however and arrived here safely in her suitcase...

With the most gorgeous tag that Jo made for me to keep.

She quickly jumped out and made herself at home on a few old cotton reels.

"Hmmm now where have I come to?  It's all work no play here some days!"

"I've had to hold the tape measure"

"and pass Annie pins so fast that even the photo is blurred!"

"I've helped by threading the needles for her on this huge sewing machine that she's got [cos her eyesight isn't what it used to be but don't tell her I said so!]"

"I had a fun day on Tuesday with my two little new friends and we even posed for a photo for you".

It's serious stuff this caring for a teeny tiny new friend! [do zoom in to get a closer look at Flat Susan in the middle].

"The rest of my week so far has beenhouse bungalow hunting with Annie.  This is the one they would like to move to and we went to have a good look at it last night.  Now all they need is lots of good positive wishes that the offers that have been made can be accepted so that things can get moving for them"

"That's all from me for now.  It's my two new little friends' birthday tomorrow and I understand there's some partying to be done so if you're lucky Annie will remember to take her camera with her and catch what I get up to......Don't worry Neet Annie says there's no alcohol there!!!"

Flat Susan Gets Chased by Daleks

Flat Susan continued her journey with Jo in Powys and here she went up a great big hill.  Here's what Jo had to say

Can you see Susan on the top of our little hill?
This is what she was reading?
It shows her what she was looking at as she gazed out over the Powys and Shropshire countryside.

She had a great week which finished with a trip to a model exhibition!
Twiglet really knows how to give a girl a good time!!!!

Here she is being followed by a couple of daleks.

AND here she decided to take a trip on Stingray

Lastly she decided that, after stepping back in time in Twiglet's well appointed but slighly old fashioned B & B, she would hop in the Tardis and move back to 2013, as she took her next trip.
She has already beamed down safely at Annie's!!!

Farewell Susan - behave yourself.
Annie can be very strict and she likes everything kept nice and tidy.
I am sure you will be very well entertained by those funny little munchkins.

Flat Susan Ventures Outside

Well it didn't take Flat Susan long to get out into the garden to smell the flowers!!!
Here she is enjoying the gorgeous tangerine begonia that has bloomed wonderfully this year.

Then she climbed up onto the buddleia to get a better view.
A beautiful tortoiseshell butterfly offered her a flight over the garden.
Flat Susan thought she might be a bit too heavy for one butterfly so another one flew in to join them
Together they went on a tour of the garden and then they dropped her off by the sunflower frog.
It gave her quite a fright until she realised it was only a bronze statue!
I think that's enough excitement for today Susan.
Who knows what you will get up to next!

Pop back later to find out!!!!  x Jo

Flat Susan's adventures in POWYS

A little parcel fell through my letterbox yesterday.
It landed with a squeak on the doormat.
I picked it up and carried it into my kitchen and unpacked it carefully.
As I took off the last bit of sticky tape I could hear a little chuckle.
Inside were several little packages.

When I opened the last little package I heard a sigh of relief.

Look what I found inside........

Yes - you guessed - Flat Susan with all her bits and bobs!
(If you need to find out more about Flat Susan then do pop over to her very own Flat Susan blog.)
Cathryn had sent a beautiful tag for me - there are so many clever crafters out there aren't there?
Thanks Cathryn - I will put in my WOYWW tag book along with all my other special tags.
Also there seemed to be lots of other bits and bobs for me to check over so I will tell you more about those later.

Flat Susan was so pleased to be out of the parcel and quickly settled into the home that had been specially put ready for her arrival.

I think she liked the facilities but I did hear her mutter that things seem a little old fashioned out here in the Welsh Marches!

She loved her little pink bathroom and couldn't wait to take a long relaxing bath to soothe her aching bones after her long journey.

However her kitchen facilities and laundry equipment certainly left  a lot to be desired.
She will ony be here for a week so I bet she saves all her washing tor Annie to do next week when she moves on to her!
She was delighted to see her cosy little sitting room, complete with a sewing machine all set up ready for her to join in with the crafty activities that take place regularly here.

I hope she will be very comfy.
I am sure she will enjoy all we do this week.
Pop back later and see what she gets up to.

A Visit to A Stately Home in England

Flat Susan has been spending some time with Cathryn who has had an operation on her eye so I am hoping Flat Susan has been of help around the house.  Cathryn is feeling a little better so she took her out - here is Cathryn's account:

Phew its been a very hard time since I had some work done on my eye and this is the first time I am online - and yesterday was the first time I ventured out somewhere serious - and of course Flat Susan came with us!

We went to Chatsworth Show - and I enjoy my time just wandering around all the stands there - I pick up lots of different ideas from the various stands which are all country stuff.   But they have tons of stuff which will spark off the imagination.   It feels so good to get back to doing something - albeit nothing terribly close cos basically I cannot bloody see it!!  I couldn't take a lot of photos, mainly because I still cannot bend fully, or turn my head too sharply all that kind of stuff.... but here goes!

So here is some blurb about our day!

This doesn't even give you an idea of just how large this show is - its HUGE and spreads all over the estate - a lot of folk take caravans etc and spend the whole 3 days there - Flat Susan gasped (which believe you me was pretty difficult for her to do!) when she saw how large it was and also at the entrance fee!

She insisted on having her photo taken at the main VIP tent - you can just see Chatsworth in the background and the VIPs are all milling round behind me to get her autograph.   She was introduced to many famous people during the show - Mr Kipling, Mr Whippy to name but a few.

These are put up just in case you forgot where you are!

Actually it backs onto this......
Now there are certain protocols to follow when visiting the show - numero uno is that you have to have the infamous HOG ROAST!!  Yeah!  this year they were a splendid £5.98 a go!  I can remember when they were £1.50 and everyone was moaning how expensive they were - but to be fair you get LOADS of meat in the roll - you also have to fight off the trillions of dogs who are under your feet, goosing you (ok that's not so bad!), and wrapping around your legs.  Flat Susan really did enjoy her hog roast and she had the Pork by the way - along with a huge dollop of apple sauce which she promptly got all down her front, cos when she bit into it, it squished either side (you know I am not really talking about Flat Susan now don't ya!)

The other rule is that you must wear these boots - and do I have a pair .....natch!!!   But take it from me they rip your feet to pieces until you bed them in - I still haven't bedded mine in yet and I have had them 3 years, but to be fair I don't like to wear them in bad weather cos they were too expensive to get mucky!   I like to take them out and admire them, and put them back in the box.  You wear them with your leggings and think "not so bad after all" till you turn round and see all the junk in the trunk and everyone puts their clocks back or looks for the eclipse!

Also you have to wear the full tweed combo - Flat Susan couldn't get anything to fit her, and these boots were a little too large.   The full tweed wasn't right for her either, as the skirts were all too short.

And so, she had the most wonderful day - coming home she was dropping to sleep cos she had "had the fresh air round her" - and now she is ready to go onto her next visit.   She was a delightful guest, no trouble at all, very quiet I must say - in fact she fitted in with us quite nicely!
